'Stan Tour - Day 2 - London, Moscow and Kyrgyzstan.

Arrive at Heathrow, switch flights, enroute to Moscow. Land in Moscow, switch flights enroute to MANAS Air Base in Kyrgyzstan. Land at MANAS, greeted by Jeff and Sarge, our MWR (Morale, Welfare and Recreation) hosts, in the early A.M.  We had to purchase our Kyrgyzstan Visa's upon our arrival, and all the gear had to go through customs yet again.

The trip took a total of 30 hours, 18 of which were in the air.

Switching flights with about 1,500 pounds of gear and luggage isn't much fun, but somehow we pulled it off.

The conga cases used to transport our speakers didn't hold up very well.  Duct tape is a musician's best friend.

5,000 feet over London.

The Heineken bar in the Moscow Airport.  Funny, but they didn't serve Heineken.

This may be one of those "you had to be there" videos.  Upon landing in Russia, you couldn't leave the plane until a guy scanned you with a temperature gun.  We assumed this was to screen everyone for the Swine Flu.  Dirk is shown here making fun of the situation, making swine noises.  Of course, this is after a few beers and a vodka or two.

A view of the barracks at MANAS.  Much better accommodations than we had imagined!
